One of the delights of this time of year is the birds that come to our yard. I don't put out bird feeders (I saw some serious--and a little scary--flocks of birds at an urban house and haven't been able to do it since then) but we have regular visitors. A couple of doves, a small flock of starlings, a couple of robins, and these three:

They come by every morning and sometimes peek (and crash--though without serious injury) into our windows. I've tried to capture them in pictures, but my camera just doesn't have enough "reach". I thought I'd share a couple of attempts anyway.
Here's one saying good morning

PS See what I mean about the wild roses? :)
