The year I turned 30 I was in London. That was pretty amazing, wonderful, awe-inspiring and plain old magical. This year I will be turning the big 4 OH! I don't like things like that to be downward dragging. So what wonderful thing would you, could you do for your big decade birthday? Your arrival at middle age? (What?!) I have a few ideas, but right now I have to tell you that this year is knocking me down and dragging me out. I don't want it to be that way, but sometimes things just are. So think about it and let me know. Will you? Thanks. Oh and I'm going to give you some time, I need to take another blogging break. It may not last, but for now I need to be a little quiet.

Turning 40 has been a bit overwhelming for me. I turned 40 in August and I really do not know how I feel about it yet. I have been told that you stop worrying so much about what others think at 40 and you become more comfortable in your skin...that is a plus. I am not sure what you should do celebrate....I chose to ignore it somewhat. As far as being quiet for a while, I will look forward to your return to blogging. Have a nice quiet time. It sounds like a grand idea.
I would meet my best friend in a town that is in the middle of where we both live and have a great weekend remembering the past and gearing up for the next 10 years! We would eat yummy food, take fun pictures, and listen to some great music. Maybe it will rain so we can go take a walk and it can feel like we are 14 again! It might not be as magical as London but it would be fun and that's what counts! LYLAS
Oh by the way I love love love your picture of the kids at the top of your blog.
