Here's some fun Halloween Picture books:
Frank Was a Monster Who Wanted to Dance by Keith Graves
Man can he dance!
Halloween Pie by Micheal Tunnell
What's not to love about saying "Give Me Some Pie" in all kinds of different ghoulish voices? I have to say the illustrations in this book aren't my favorite, but it's just so much fun to read.
The Little Old Woman Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything by Linda Williams and Megan Lloyd What's spooky about a scare crow? Just noise.
Happy Halloween!

We LOVE "Halloween Pie"! Never made their exact pie, but the story is fantastic. We also love "Ten Timid Ghosts".
The costume dilema. I've been thinking on that one and luckily Slade came through yesterday for it. We are going to be gang from Scooby Doo. The problem is I need it all by this Friday night when we are celebrating (late) Kennah's bday and we are taking her friends on a Haunted Tour of our city. Not likely to happen, but maybe . . .Mostly I need a blonde wig, pink Daphne outfit, orange skirt/turtleneck for Kennah to Velma and then the dog outfit for Avy. Slade and Sawyer should be easy enough.
Going over to Amazon to add those books to my list...thanks!
PS. Have you read Mrs. McMurphy's Pumpkin? By Rick Walton, who teaches writing at BYU.
Thanks for the additional books. I have to add a disclaimer for little ones--I read Frank was a Monster Who Wanted to Dance to my little man the other night and the brains falling out freaked him out a bit. So much for applying adult enjoyment to kids books! I"ll have to Check out those other books--I'm a Rick Walton fan. Thanks guys! Still don't know what I'm doing for Halloween.
