Two Flimsy's

I finished two flimsy's!  I know that's not a real finish, but I'm excited to be this far along.

The first is a block of the month that I did with one of the local quilt shop's here.  I didn't like how they finished it so I made up my own and I really love how it turned out!

Elephants!

The second is Mowg's Primary Bee quilt.
I had a little adjusting to do in places, but I'm pleased with how it turned out too.

Now off to make more dents in that list!

What I've been up to lately

Watching plants grow

In honor of my Mother-in-law (the first person I knew to have grown an amaryllis into it's full bloom)
I purchased an amaryllis in the after Christmas sales.

I think it looks like a heart.

We did a small planting of window pots as well and they're growing.
I'll post pictures of their progress soon.  It's very satisfying to have green in winter.

I spend a great deal of time with this busy bee...butterfly

Speaking of bee's I made a second bee block for the Stash Bee
I really love how it turned out.

As you can see in my previous two posts I have big plans for the next little while.

Until Then

"I, Chiska, owner of too many UFOs and more fabric than I can hope to use up in my lifetime am joining Quilting Hottie Haven's third annual DaGMT event, and pledge to quilt for (at least 20 minutes, instead of doing the laundry, every day of the month of February, 2015. In doing so I hope to finish at least one of the 15 quilts I have underway.  I think Beth Helfter is brilliant for coming up with this concept and inspiring me to join."

I did this one year and was amazed at what I accomplished, so here's to committing to a month of 20 minutes and getting some things done, instead of just looking at them and buying more fabric.  There's only a small trail into my studio at the moment and I have sorted my projects into boxes.  I hope to make some room to move or at least free myself of some craft debt.

Since I'm not sure how to link the button go HERE to check it out.

To encourage myself to finish some things this year I'm joining the 2015 Finish Along with Adrienne at On the Windy Side.  I decided that even though I don't have photographs of most of these projects, if I write them ALL down, some of them will get done.
