October Primary Bee Blocks

This month is for Jammer, his Mom blogs at Quilts From My Crayon Box.
He choose this star block in red, white and blue.

Tiny chose ninja's and stars--heavy on the red and light on the blue

Mowg chose crabs and blue--heavy on the blue light on the red.

Happy to be DONE!  He finished November's block for Tiny
this morning too, but that's for another post.

This was the most challenging block
we've made this year, but it sure looks great!

Babywan didn't want to be left out of the pictures
we let her borrow Mowg's block.

/

We also almost have November's blocks
done--It's Tiny's month and she's pretty
excited--she's waited a long time.

We're all excited to be wrapping up this
bee--we bet our bee mates are too.

Now that we have our obligations taken care of
we'll start putting Mowg's quilt together.

Jammer your blocks are on their way.

Once in a great while we get a picture with my whole family.
You can be sure when it happens that my Mom is involved.

This summer we had the pleasure of returning to the town of my childhood.

A Fish or two were caught.

A boat was ridden

Three kids and Carrot made an appearance at the Grands

Water was seen,
(I can never get enough of watching
the water curl in the wake of a boat)

played in,
(chalk becomes so vibrant when used in the rain)

and ridden on.

Flowers were picked (and shredded).

Cousins met and enjoyed.

Then we came home and got down to the business
of  getting and cutting wood for the winter.

That entailed riding in the wheelbarrow

loading, stacking,

 and sitting on the stack.

It was exhausting work.

And very satisfying.

Have you hear about the Stash Bee?  I have enjoyed the bee for the kids this last year, but I decided it would be fun to be involved in one all by myself.  So I've joined.  It's an 11 month commitment with only one block a month focusing on using your stash.

They're still looking for people to join.

I'm excited about this next year!

September Bee Blocks

We sent them a day late, but I've been REALLY slow at posting.

Bow Ties!

Isn't this a  happy face?  He will be glad when we're done.

Tiny will be glad too, but she still wants to play.

We'll start October very soon.  I have some more pictures to share, but that's all for today.
